Making a Difference
Addiction is everyone’s problem…. We provide solutions
• Easy Does It, Inc. [ “EDI”] was founded in 1989 when members of the Berks County recovering community saw a need for a permanent place where people could meet to reclaim their lives from the bondage of addiction. • EDI operates two facilities in Berks County. The original Easy Does It Clubhouse, now the Walnut street Recovery Community Center, is located at 647 Walnut Street, Reading, PA. Since opening 19 years ago it has remained open every day (including holidays), seven days a week, from 10am to 10pm (That’s over 200 months, 990 weeks, 6,500 days…)Over 10,000 walk through its doors each month. • Our second Recovery Community Center is a 32,000 square-foot facility located in Bern Township in Leesport. Opened in 2001, this facility now hosts a 50 bed housing program, space for recovery meetings, classrooms, life skills training, and a large hall for drug and alcohol free functions. • Over the past 19 years these two facilities have provided space for more than 18,000 recovery meetings, hosted over 3,500 drug- and alcohol-free events for the recovering community in Berks County, and have served well over 2,000,000 people seeking recovery from addiction.
