While addiction is recognized as a chronic condition, most traditional treatment and support services only address the condition using an acute-care approach. Through it's Recovery Works module, EDI recognizes the need to maintain appropriate support services over a long period of time to address the chronic nature of addiction and to recognize that recovery is a process, not an event. |
